QPR Res 1 Palace Res 1
A Sean Scannell goal with 20 minutes remaining earned Palace a point at Loftus Road.
The reserves went a goal down when Romone Rose struck after 53 minutes, but Scannell, a second half substitiute, headed home to force a draw.
Tuesday night's Pontins Combination League game saw Danny Butterfield make his first start since receiving a hamstring injury a month ago and he completed 90 minutes to give manager Neil Warnock a boost ahead of Saturday's trip to Colchester United.
The Eagles also lined up with the experience of Jeff Hughes, Stuart Green and Besian Idrizaj.
QPR had first teamers in the shape of Dexter Blackstock and Pat Kanyuka.
Rangers had the best of the play in the first period, and appeared to have taken the lead after ten minutes when Blackstock's through ball was met on the run by Angelo Balanta, who fired past the exposed Scott Flinders.
But the goal was ruled out for offside.
Ashley-Paul Robinson came closest for the visitors in the first period with a 20-yarder that flew wide and another effort that was saved by Jake Cole.
Rose gave Rangers the lead when Palace failed to clear a far post cross, drilling hone from 12 yards.
But Palace reacted well. Bostock forced a good save from Cole in the 58th minute, but the home goalkeeper was powerless to prevent Scannell's nod from the edge of the six-yard box.
Balanta could have won it for Rangers but he fired wide of Flinders' right hand post in the closing stages.
