Tony was Palace's first close season signing in 2007, when he made the short trip across south London from Millwall for an undisclosed transfer fee to sign a three year contract with the Eagles.

Palace become Tony's second professional club, having spent his entire career before the move with the Lions after breaking through the youth ranks at the Den.

He was with the Lions from the age of 15, after growing up in nearby Thamesmead and made his debut for them just after his 18th birthday when he was called into the team by then boss Mark McGhee to face Nottingham Forest at the end of the 2002/03 season. He then scored his first goal for the club the following week in only his second senior appearance against Coventry City.

Injury disrupted the following season for him, as Millwall reached the FA Cup Final but he began to establish himself in the following two seasons as a regular at left-back and also in the centre of defence if required.

His progress was recognised by supporters at the Den too, as he picked up successive 'Young Player Of The Season' awards in his final two years with the club before making the move to SE25.

Craig's move to Palace saw him link up with former Millwall team-mates Matt Lawrence and Paul Ifill at Selhurst Park.

His progress in the 2007/08 season has been stinted by the recurrence of a shoulder injury he picked up at his previous club.
