Palace Crystals Support Women's Challenge
The Crystals had a great time on Sunday 16th September when they supported all the participants of the Hydro Active Women's Challenge in Hyde Park, and in particular, the fund-raisers of the Alzheimer's Society.
The event attracted over 15,000 runners and walkers raising money for good causes.
World and Olympic 5000m champion Meseret Defar cruised to an easy win in 15.08 minutes, followed by Australia's Benita Johnson in second, and Britain's Jo Pavey just one second behind.
Among the thousands taking part, CPFC fan, fabulous and funny Jo Brand honoured the Crystals by spending a few moments chatting while preparing for the event.
In turn, the Crystals have awarded Jo with Honorary Cheerleader status! Also taking part was Ruth Lansdown along with Mum and sister, who shared encouragement and cheer on a bright and beautiful day in the park!
