New Republic of Ireland manager, Giovanni Trapattoni named his 28-man squad ahead of the friendlies against Serbia and Colombia and has included Crystal Palace starlet Sean Scannell.

Scannell, who made his Palace debut at just the age of 17 away at QPR, has impressed this season with a series of confident displays.

His first starting appearance also saw him grab his debut goal for the Eagles, a goal that has since been nominated for goal of the season at this year's Player of the Year Awards.

Scannell has now joined up with the squad ahead of the friendlies.
