With the first leg of the Play-Offs less than 24-hours away, Palace manager Neil Warnock sat down to discuss his thoughts about the game and about this week's preparations. But first, a final reaction on last weekend's tremendous result.

"Well I just thought it was just a great relief to get into the Play-Offs really. We all know where we have come from this year so it was a feeling that we had cracked something to be where we are. To see the clubs beneath us, it has been a great lift for us.We scored some good goals and that is what you need to do - take your chances".

A notable substitution from Saturday's proceedings was the early removal of midfielder Victor Moses, who was replaced by Paul Ifil after just 31 minutes.

"(Victor) Moses said he was okay, but he had had a problem on the Thursday and although he said he was alright I still wasnt 100% sure. So, when we went 2-0 up, I thought it was better to get him off and save him for the games to come".

Another player of interest is James Scowcroft who has been out of first team action since the 0-0 draw with Blackpool back in March. However, although brought back onto the bench at the weekend, he was not involved.

"Jamie was desperate to come on last week but I was out voted by the medical staff. They said that they didn't want him to have ten minutes really and that another week's training would be better for him so I listened to them - although Jamie was disappointed.

"Mind you, they have done ever so well because it has only been two-and-a-half weeks for a double hernia and Jamie has been running and chasing. Whether Saturday has come too soon for him, I have left that up to the medical people but, if it is a no, then he will definitely have a chance for the Tuesday game".

Ahead of Saturday's game and Palace have been made favourites by a number of bookmakers to get to Wembley. But Warnock admits that he can't quite understand how they have come to that decision.

"Well I don't see where they get that from if I am honest. I think probably just from my record but I am not playing. I think the team that are favourites for me are Hull City or Watford, whoever gets through that tie and then I think Bristol City and ourselves can toss a coin. I think we are two very good sides that have done well this year because of good team spirit.

The number of times they (Bristol City) suffered a defeat, one or two big ones, and then they started to question him, but what do they do? They bounce back the week after with another great result. I think both Crystal Palace and Bristol City are very similar and I would have thought the winners of the other tie will be favourites when they go to Wembley".

One reason for being favourites is down to the fantastic form that Palace have been in throughout April and March. When asked whether that will give his side the right momentum going into the two games, Warnock was resolute in his dismissal of such a theory.

"Well I am sure you could put statistics to anything really and, if you look back, I am sure there have been teams that haven't won a point for three or four games and crept in and gone up in the Play-Offs. They are there. Players will tell you that it is nice when you have had a good run and we have had a decent run.

But it is on the day and down to the two games. You hope that the first leg is close. I think the last time Palace were in the Play-Offs, the game was over after the first leg and they lost to 3-0 to Watford. So, you want to be involved in the second leg and not be far away. I have done it both ways. I have been behind in the second leg and, even being two goals behind against Forest, we came back. Anything is possible in the Play-Offs as Exeter showed last week against Torquay. It is one of those things that you are never sure about until the final whistle".

Now that the long season has come to an end and the team is faced with the prospect of playing Premier League football next year, has he been preparing any differently from the week-to-week routine of the Championship season?

"No, just the normal routine. I don't see any point in doing anything different. There are only two more games and both clubs have to get on with that. I think we are lucky really that it is Saturday and Tuesday. It is all over with then. You look at some clubs like Doncaster and they have games on the Friday and Friday, which is going beyond it a bit. It is nice to know that within three days you will know one way or the other".

Six attempts at winning promotion at Wembley, via the Play-Offs, have seen six succcesses for Neil Warnock. But with the chance of making that seven-out-of-seven, the Palace manager is simply proud that his team has shown the character to turn their season around.

"Well I have got a 25% chance haven't I. It is one of those things where every manager will be, first, thinking of getting to Wembley and then when they get there they will be thinking of the prizes at the end of it. But as I have said earlier, I think the three teams with us have had opportunities to go up automatically so we are just absolutely delighted to get a place in the Play-Offs. So in that respect I guess we are the underdogs. It is just a great achievement, I feel, personally to have done what we have done after the terrible start that we had".

The mood in the camp is one of buoyant enthusiasm and although the game is an exciting prospect for the club, Warnock believes that after the beginning of the season, these games are an excellent way to cap of the season.

"This is a Brucie Bonus for us. It is just great to be involved at this stage of the season and that is how we are going to approach it".
