It's a part of the country that Neil Warnock has spent so much of his managerial career but this time he made a return with a team from the South with some old friends to make him welcome.

"This stadium is always a good one to come to and obviously what I had done over in the red and white half of the city added some spice today. Although the crowd were a little quiet this afternoon there is always friendly rivalary and I have some great memories of derby games over the years. It was a nice feeling to get the point at the end as there had been some people reminding me of the score just before that but it's all good fun".

The boss was pleased that his side never gave up as they tried to come from behind for the second time in the afternoon.

"We've got a never-give-up attitude and showed a lot of character. We well deserved the point and was reward for the effort put in until the final whistle.

"We threw all the big men forward at the end and our goalkeeper was marking their striker !.

"It would have been disappointing to have got nothing from the game as we had so many chances through the game, many before we had equalised towards the end of the first half. The defence had a bad day at the office and were guilty of being sloppy and after being dominant we ended up under the cosh".

From where his side were a few months back Warnock is pleased to be able to be involved at the right end of the table as the season draws to its conclusion.

"We now have six games remaining and some of those are against teams who are above us but I prefer those which see us as underdogs. We know there is nothing to fear and today keeps us going along with an important point and we are in the mix.

"I'd rather be at the top end of the table than the bottom and it's great to be involved with six games to go".
