Neil Warnock saw his side denied a spot kick twice in this match as he watched the first league meeting at Selhurst against Blackpool since the seventies.

"I thought it was a decent 0-0 draw with chances on both sides and anyone could have won it in the end. We would have been unlucky if they had snatched it with their late effort but Julian Speroni made a good save and both sides take a point.

"We made some good opportunities but needed a goal to let them come out more although we also had to watch them on the break because they are good at that which they showed at Stoke last weekend".

The boss was able to use a second viewing of the two incldents that could have seen a penalty given but feels things probably just happened too quick for the referee.

"I think they are quite happy to go back to Lancashire with a point in the circumstances. The referee doesn't have the technology to help make the decision when he is out there but he will be able to see the incident again on the television tomorrow.

"In all fairness Scott Sinclair has been in training in the last couple of days and we have seen how quick his feet are and it was probably just a case of it all happened too quick for the referee to see it.

"When we watched it at half time we the defender come across and catch Scott's shin. You would have to say that both our penalty shouts today would have been given as fouls outside the box."

One of the main subjects in the media is about how players treat the officials and Neil has a theory as to why maybe it doesnt always happen in the national game.

"There is a lot of talk about respect at the moment and you compare officials we have with those in rugby league but they have played the game in that sport and therefore get the respect from the players so it is hard to compare the two."

Neil gave a start to two of his loan signings, Kyel Reid and Scott Sinclair and completed the hat-trick at the break.

"I thought the loan players did well although I had to bring Nathan Ashton off at half time because we were desperate for some height, having lost James Scowcroft, because they are a threat at set pieces. They will give us something different in the closing weeks of the season".

Palace don't have another game until Monday week when they travel to Stoke but this match did add two further injuries to the treatment room.

"I am not sure what the injury is to Scowie but it could be a hamstring. Clint Hill picked up an injury in training yesterday on his ankle and has had an x ray but nothing broken so we will have to see how both progress over the next few days"..
